A Brief History

A long, long time ago (in internet time, at least), before Grasscity’s launch in 2000, was a little website called Coffeshop-Amsterdam. Its purpose was simple: to sell smoking accessories and provide tourist information about its beloved hometown of Amsterdam. But the site’s limited reach just wasn’t enough for us. To take its place, we founded Grasscity, a site that would become so much more than just an online headshop.

The Rising Tide

In 2018, Grasscity joined High Tide, a cannabis corporation from all the way in the great white north of Alberta, Canada. Our new family meant we could grow faster than ever before: with our foothold overseas, Grasscity can now operate from numerous warehouses in North America and Europe, giving us improved shipping times and a wider reach. What does that mean? More bongs, more pipes, more everything—and faster than ever before. With over 1 million parcels shipped in our lifetime, Grasscity is proud to call itself a major part of the culture’s swiftly rising tide.
